Trustee of Matthew Gregory 'Monk' Lewis (q.v.), the Gothic novelist and MP, and in that capacity awarded with his co-trustee Charles Chatfield (q.v.) the compensation for the enslaved people on Cornwall estate in Westmoreland.

  1. Probably William Cruttenden, solicitor of Ashford Kent, whose will was proved 10/11/1853 and who was also referred to as William Cruttendon.
