Partner in Hamilton, Scott & Co., which was dissolved in 1818 and continued by Bogles & Co; and of Hamilton, Morris with John Ball Morris (q.v.). Died in London 1840 at 14 Conduit Street. Fourth son of John Hamilton of Northpark and his wife Helen nee Bogle. With his four brothers, he was awarded a 1/4 share in the compensation for Dunkley's estate in Vere. His mother Helen was residuary legatee for 1/4 of the estate of her brother George Bogle who died in 1813.

The Business, hitherto carried on under the Firm of Hamilton, Scott, & Co will, from this date, be conducted by the Subscribers, who request that all Demands against the said Concern may be rendered to them, and those indebted thereto will be pleased to make Payments without delay.
