London lawyer (Messrs. Lock), awarded with others (including his partner Frederick Lock) the compensation for Farm, Waterworks, Sym's & Paradise and one other estate in Montserrat, apparently as trustees for a member of the Kirwan family.

Letter dated 01/07/1837 from Matthew Kirwan stating that he had discharged the trusts of the deed under which Messrs Fernie, Coles, Lock & Smith were trustees for him as surviving mortgagee of the Farm and Waterworks estate.
