Biography

Awarded or claimed the compensation for several estates in British Guiana and one in Barbados as executor of John Tapin (q.v). Both William Henry Austin and John Tapin have to date proved elusive.

  1. In 1871 a William Henry Austin aged 66 'Houses & Dividends' brn Barbados was living at West Teignmouth Devon with his wife Agnes aged 50 and ostensibly their two sons William Percy aged 8 and Albert Wilberforce aged 6, both born Dartmouth Devon. There was also a visitor, Eliza Frances Morris, aged 26 born Barbados. This man died 05/01/1875 leaving £3000.
