Biography

Rev. William Vernon, perpetual curate of Grindleton near Clitheroe Lancashire. An annuitant (of £11 2s 6d per annum ten years in arrears) on Vernon's estate on Antigua, he agreed in 1834 not to make any demands for principal or interest until the estate had produced enough to settle the debts of his [half-]brother John Vernon (q.v.) with his merchants.
