Said to be a house of the early 19th century, in which case it was built by or for Thomas Bourke Ricketts or his father George Crawford Ricketts (d. 1811), who had bought the Combe estate in 1806.
The house appears to be privately owned and very little is available on its history.

Enslaved boy on Unity Valley Pen, Jamaica. Manumitted in 1795 by David Barclay and removed to Philadelphia, with 29 other freed persons from the estate, where he was placed under the care of Society for Improving the Condition of Free Blacks.
