T71/1609 (unnumbered): letter, dated 08/06/1835, from Alexander Hamilton Hamilton, stating that he had copies of claims filed by his agent George Paterson but was 'unaware if Proprietors be required to take further steps in this country... I am on the eve of leaving home and may be absent some time.. . it would be satisfactory to know if the commissioners have been enabled to decide at what rate Proprietors will receive the compensation'.
