The partnership between John White Cater, Mark Wilks Collett, Charles Inman the younger and Otto Burchardt as general merchants under the firms of John White Cater and Co. in Liverpool and J.W. Cater, Collett and Co. in London was dissolved 01/07/1851 so far as concerns Mark Wilks Collett, who then retired.
The partnership between John White Cater, John James Cater and Charles Alexander Cater as General Merchants trading under John W. Cater & Sons in London and John W. Cater & Co. in Liverpool was dissolved with the retirement of John White Cater on 31/12/1873.
