Shakespearean Quartos
In 1905 5 Shakespearean quartos (Merchant of Venice; King Richard II; Henry IV; Henry IV part II; and King Lear) belonging to George Carrington of Missenden Abbey were sold at auction. The quartos had reportedly been collected by Carrington's great-uncle a hundred years before. The Connoisseur Vol. XIII September-December 1905 p. 62
