In her will made in 1778 and proved in 1781, Esther Swete referred to her plantation in Antigua under lease to Daniel Mathew deceased. This estate has not been further traced: it is possible it was subsumed under Mathews. The village of Swete is extant in St Paul's parish in modern Antigua.
