Notes

Two groups, each of around 40 of enslaved people, were registered separately in the ownership of Elizabeth Brooks and the estate of Robert Benstead Wright, from 1817-1832, but both groups were listed as living on Kensworth estate in the compensation records. It's not clear whether the land was also in shared or part ownership.
