The original purchaser of Barbados Bay division (St George parish) Lots nos. 10 and 17 (200 and 300 acres respectively), which became Greenhill, was Robert Wynne (20/05/1765); the original purchaser of Barbados Bay division (St George parish) Lots nos. 18 and 9 was Samuel Martin (16/05/1766). By 1773, the owner of Lots nos. 10 and 17 was Walter Kennedy; of Lots nos 18 and 19 was Thomas Tipping. By 1832 the owner of Greenhill & Friendship was 'Wyllie & others'; its present possessor as a merged unit c. 1866 was 'Gillespie and others.' |

[Size] 500 On 16/05/1766 Samuel Martin was the original purchaser of Barbados Bay division Lots nos. 18 (200 acres) and 19 (300 acres), which became Friendship (and which was later merged with Greenhill); it is not yet known if this original purchaser was either Samuel Martin of Antigua (1694/5-1776) or his son Samuel Martin MP (1714-1788). By 1773 the two lots belonged to Thomas Tipping (q.v.), probably of Barbados.

The 'State of Tobago' survey shows Thomas Tipping as the proprietor of Friendship in Barbados Bay, on which he had established or was establishing a cattle mill.
