Close Roll 29 Geo II Part 13 No. 10. Indenture 28/1/1755 between George Blount of Henley on Thames and Hester his wife (late widow and relict of Jacob Thibou the younger formerly of Antigua but late of London, son of and heir of Jacob Thibou the elder merchant, and Thomas Jarvis of Antigua. Under Jacob Thibou the elder's will of 1741, his son Jacob the younger inherited his residuary estate but if he died before 21 or died afterwards without issue all the estate passed to his sister Rachel. On Jacob Thibou the younger's death, Esther Thibou became dowable on 2/3 of the real estate. George Blount, Esther Blount formerly Thibou and Thomas Jarvis had reached agreement to lease for £580 currency p.a. during her lifetime all her dower from the lands of Jacob Thibou the younger in Antigua and Long Island adjoining, all of which estate was in possession of Thomas Jarvis in right of Rachel his wife.
