  1. Will of Thomas Powell [the elder] of Manchester, Jamaica [made in 1837] proved 28/11/1839. He left annuities of £200 p.a. to his three children, Thomas Powell, Elizabeth Alexander Powell and Jane Smyth Clark the wife of John Clark of Manchester, and the rest of his estate to his wife Elizabeth.
