William Walker

With Thomas Bland (q.v.), awarded the compensation for the enslaved people on Harmony Hill in St Ann Jamaica as trustees of the marriage settlement of Mr and Mrs Robert Johnston, and counterclaiming unsuccessfully in the same capacity for the enslaved people on Murphy Hill.

1. The counterclaim for Murphy Hill shows Wm Walker as late of Newington Row, Liverpool but now of Newport, Rhode Island; Thomas Bland of 43 Bedford Row, gentleman.

T71/857 St Ann claims no. 118 and no. 39. William Walker appears unconnected with the William Walker of Lincolns Inn Fields who was buried at Friern Barnet aged 72 on 30/01/1854 and whose will was proved 03/02/1854 (Ancestry.com, London, England, Deaths and Burials, 1813-1980 [database online]; PROB 11/2187).
