Biography

Free person of colour, most likely daughter of John Moncrieffe and his wife Milbrough (but conceivably the wife herself). 1792 - "An act to entitle John Moncrieffe, of the parish of St Mary, a free quadroon man, planter, and Milborough his wife, a free mulatto woman, and their several children, named Mary Moncrieffe, Benjamin Scott Moncrieffe, Elizabeth Moncrieffe, John Moncrieffe, Milbrough Moncrieffe, and Ann Maria Moncrieffe, to the same rights and priviledges with English subjects, born of white parents, under certain restrictions."
