Biography

Higman identified William Gordon as attorney of three estates of Simon Haughton Clarke in Hanover and of six estates and two pens in total in 1832, but the portfolio appears to have been wider, both for Haughton Clarke and for other slave-owners. It appears likely this is the same man as William Gordon of Hanover, who was attorney for Robert Allen and others on Tryall and Recovery Pen, and for other estates.
