Biography

Probably but not certainly the son of Thomas Hill sen. and the same man as the administrator of Archibald Campbell under three compensation awards in Westmoreland and as the awardee under two further claims in Westmoreland under his own name. The son of Thomas Hill sen. is known to have been a Royal Navy officer, dying in Groomsport in Northern Ireland in 1839.

  1. On the 22d Oct. at Groomsport, [death of] Lieut. Thomas Hill, R. N. late chief officer of that station, leaving a widow and numerous family.
