Biography

Father of John William Ward, 1st Earl of Dudley (q.v.) and tenant-for-life of the Jamaican estates left under the will of his mother Mary Lady Viscountess Dudley and Ward nee Carver (q.v.). His widow, born Julia Bosvile, left £160,000 in 1833.
