William Fowle Holt

Biography

Slave-owner in Jamaica, apparently resident. A William Fowle Holt, Ensign, was among the men accused of attacking and demolishing the Baptist chapel at Montego Bay in February 1832. He has not been found in the compensation records, implying he died between 1832 and 1834.

  1. Baptism of William Fowle Holt 10/04/1775 at St James Jamaica. A namesake and godson, the son of Thomas Holt and Ann Gilbert, was baptised in St Helier Jersey 02/03/1817.
