Mrs Mary Stevenson (née Hampson)

Shown as of Great Britain in 1817, but otherwise apparently resident. Owner of Riverhead estate in St Ann, Jamaica, which she sold to David Brydon in 1820.

1. The will of Mary Stevenson widow of St Andrew Surrey [Jamaica] [relict of Samuel Stevenson formerly of the parish of St Ann] [made in 1837] was proved 09/06/1841. She left £100 to Lady Hampson, the widow of her nephew Sir George Francis Hampson, £100 to Mrs Charlotte Caroline Pinnock, widow of Philip Pinnock, and £1100 to each of the latter's children (George, Grace Elizabeth, Philip and Charlotte E. Pinnock), and £100 to her dear relation Mary Elizabeth Pinnock. Her residuary legatees were the three sons and three daughters of Sir George Francis Hampson. Two codicils placed her in Jamaica still in 1839.

2. Debrett's Baronetage shows her as the daughter of Sir George Francis Thompson 6th bart. (1731-1774) and Mary Pinnock (d. 1772).
