Robert Trotman

???? - 1803

Biography

Robert Trotman of St John, Barbados. Son of Henry Trotman (baptised 1703; will entered 1776) and his second wife, Mary. Of Baldrick estate, Barbados (see Haynes Field). According to F. H. Trotman in Brandow, Robert Trotman's will entered 18 August 1796. His executors appear to have been Henry Trotman, his cousin, and his cousin's son, Thomas Clarke Trotman (q.v.). But note that there is record [Family Search] of Robert Trotman being buried in St George, Barbados, 6 April 1803. And note that an Inventory of his estate ("Baldrix" or Baldrick's [q.v.] was dated 5 May 1803 with the Executors being Henry Trotman and Thomas Clarke Trotman. This would seem to confirm that Trotman died in 1803 and that F. H. Trotman was incorrect.
