Biography

  1. Will of John Appleton of St James proved 01/12/1832. He ordered that his 'Mountain settlement' in St James, the run of land known as Hardimanns, be sold and the proceeds be used to buy a house in Montego Bay, to be given to his three reputed children, Hellen Perry Appleton, Sarah Appleton and Jane Appleton, free people of colour; if they died the property was to pass to the children of his nephew Raine Waites Appleton.
