Biography

Son of John Pogson of Woodside House (q.v.), father of Harriet Pogson (q.v.) and of a natural daughter, Sophia Pickwoad (nee Pogson) (q.v).

  1. Will of John Pogson [late of the island of St Christopher but now] of Rougham [Place], Suffolk proved 17/01/1806. Under the will he left the estate known as Godwins in St Mary Cayon St Kitts in trust for his daughter with his wife (both named Harriett) and his natural daughter Sophia. In 1811 administration of the will was granted to Harriet the daughter, the wife having died.
