Shown against Platfield and Seaton estates, and the enslaved people attached to them, between 1811 and 1832: probably owner or tenant-for-life under the will of her husband John Smellie (q.v.) who died in 1810.

  1. 30 [March 1801] At Glasgow, [marriage of] John Smellie Esq. of Jamaica to Grace Bogle, daughter of George Bogle Esq.

  2. 27 [January 1826] At Torbanehill [death of] Mrs Bogle Smellie of Torbanehill.
