'An important but rather frivolous island planter in the 17th century.'

  1. Will of Christopher Jeaffreson of Dullingham proved 08/12/1725. In his will he left his unnamed estate in St Kitts to his godson Christopher Jeaffreson, son of John Jeaffreson (probably his cousin) of Clapton Suffolk.

  2. A number of deeds related to the first Christopher Jeaffreson and identifying his estate on St Kitts as Wingfield Manor and him as an absentee owner of Dullingham appear in the Beinecke Collection.
