Frances Monro Long (née Tucker)

Biography

Daughter of Lucius Tucker (whose will - under which she was sole heiress - was proved in 1792) and Fanny nee Jenkyns (q.v.). Inherited Crescent estate in St Mary, Jamaica, in trust under the will of her mother's uncle Daniel Monro, who died in 1766. Her grandfather William Jenkyns left her one shilling, complaining of her desertion of him and noting she was amply provided for.

Baptised in St Clement Danes, Middlesex, 17/05/1772, "daughter of Lucius Tucker Esq. and Fanny his Wife, niece of the late Daniel Monro of the Island of Jamaica. Born ye 5th Instant". Married Charles Beckford Long in Marylebone, 11/05/1795. Buried in East Barnet, Hertfordshire, 26/06/1813 age 40.
