Biography

Son of Robert Byndloss (1713-14-1753) and his second wife Frances. Father of Edward Risby Byndloss (q.v.).

Matthew Byndloss of St Catherine, Esquire. Estate probated in Jamaica in 1782. Slave-ownership at probate: 143 of whom 75 were listed as male and 68 as female. 37 were listed as boys, girls or children. Total value of estate at probate: £11539 Jamaican currency of which £7844 currency was the value of enslaved people. Estate valuation included £0 currency cash, £294 currency debts and £0 currency plate.
