Biography

Buried at Bath Abbey 14/12/1811.

  1. Will of William Vassall May of Bath [late of the Island of Jamaica] proved 23/10/1813. Under the will he left effects to his sisters [Elizabeth Bathshua May; Catherine Douce; Ithamar Hodges May; Anna Maria May] individually and £50 to his brother Rose Hering May, and then left his residuary estate to his sisters collectively, asking them to honour the annuities granted by his [and presumably their] brother.

  2. Two of her sisters and co-heirs, Anna Maria May and Susanna Wigan May, were ostensibly still alive when the will of Ithamar Hodges May of Bath [made in 1813] was proved 07/07/1846, but the will of Anna Maria May had been proved in 1829.
