Biography

Nephew and co-heir of John Gray Rector of Marischal College.

  1. Will of John Thomas late of the parish of St George but now] of City of London proved 21/06/1784. He left in trust his property including one moiety of the Grays Inn estate with the enslaved people on it to support annuities of £150 p.a. to his mother Mrs Jean Davidson; £30 p.a. to Mrs Ingram widow of his late uncle Adam Ingram, and £1500 in three legacies of £500 to other family and friends. His residuary legatee was John Elmslie.
