Biography

Susannah, the widow of James Henry 'of Hopewell' married William Peachy, MP for Yarmouth IoW (1797-1802) and Taunton (1827-1830) in March 1812. Online genealogy sources suggest James Henry 1766-1807 of Hopewell in St Ann, Jamaica. He was possibly the same man as the American Loyalist identified as the grandfather of the Australian 'pastoralist and founder of copper towns' Ernest Henry: this man's widow was known to have moved to Britain after the death of her husband.
