Benjamin Henckell Heath, son of Michael Heath and his wife Elizabeth Vassall, born 14/11/1795 and baptised 15/01/1796 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. Described as a "clerk in orders" when he became a member of the Atholl Lodge Freemasons in Jamaica in 1824. An absentee for portions of the late 1810s and early 1820s.
