  1. Colquhoun Grant married Margaret Abernethie at St Margaret Lothbury, London, 28/01/1798.

  2. Will of Colquhoun Grant of [the Barracks, Island of Jamaica but now residing in] London [made in 1802] proved 17/03/1803. In the will he rehearsed his marriage settlement under which his estate was settled on him for life and then to secure an annuity of £500 p.a. for his wife, and then to their children. He had in 1801 mortgaged the estate [or his life interest] to Robert Telfer of Blue Mountain Valley Jamaica. He left his leasehold house in Upper Baker Street Portman Square to his wife Margaret, and monetary legacies to relatives in Scotland.
