Biography

One of the younger sons of Sir John Trevelyan of Nettlecombe: with his brother Rev. George Trevelyan (q.v.) he was gifted in 1819 their father's interest in estates and enslaved people in Grenada which had come through their mother Louisa Simond.

  1. Will of Rev. Walter Trevelyan clerk of Henbury Gloucestershire [made in 1829] proved 28/02/1831. He in turn left his share of the Grenada estates 'with the negroes, rights and appurtenances both moveable and immoveable quick and dead to the same belonging' to his sons John Trevelyan and Walter Trevelyan.
