Biography

One of the younger sons of Sir John Trevelyan of Nettlecombe 4th bart. (q.v.): with his brother Rev. Walter Trevelyan (q.v.) he was gifted in 1819 their father's interest in estates and enslaved people in Grenada which had come through their mother Louisa Simond. His great-grandson was the historian G.M. Trevelyan.

  1. The will of Rev. George Trevelyan clerk, Archdeacon of Taunton and Canon Residentiary of Wells, was proved 12/03/1828. Unfortunately the will is illegible online. All that can be deciphered are references to a son John Thomas.
