Biography

Daughter of William Markham, the Archbishop of York, and wife of William Barnett III of Arcadia (q.v.) whom she married in 1796.

  1. Administration of the will of Elisabeth Catherine Barnett of Little Missenden Abbey [late of the City of Florence] [made in 1815] was granted 06/06/1821. She willed her property to her dear husband William Barnett, except for specific personal effects to friends and family, including prints of her father from paintings by Romney, Reynolds and Hoppner. She identified her daughter as Elizabeth Harriette and her son as John, and William Barnett [IV] as the son of her husband.
