Helen Praed (née Bogle)

Biography

Daughter of George Bogle and Adelaide Lamoninary, and left £25,000 in her father's will as its first proviso. She married the 'poet and politician' Winthrop Mackworth Praed in 1835. She in turn left the same amount when she died of 64 Chester Square in 1863. Her mother gave her own name as Adelaide Lamoninary Bogle when she made her will, proved in 1845.
