Local newspaper publisher, proprietor of the 'Salisbury Journal' and father of William Collins of New Sarum (q.v.). His will showed him as the owner of an annuity of £67 10s secured on the estates [and enslaved people] of John Missett of Montserrat for the life of his daughter Jane Staunton, which he originally left to her and then revoked in one of a series of codicils.
