Biography

Given as Ann D. Thomson in the compensation records but almost certainly Anne Dalzell Thomson, widow, of Albourne Place, Sussex. Her death in 1841 (January-March) was recorded in the registration district of Cuckfield, Sussex.

  1. Will of Anne Dalzell Thomson was proved 14 February 1842. Under the will, she left an annuity of £190 p.a. to her cousin Elizabeth Thomson and the remainder of her to her two daughters Anne Dalzell Thomson and Elizabeth, the wife of the Rev. William Blackstone Lee. She left £100 each to her three sons who she said were acquainted with and approved of the terms of her will.

  2. William Blackstone [Lee], Rector of Wootton, Oxfordshire, b. 1794, m. 1836, Elizabeth, dau. of Charles Thomson, Esq., Master in Chancery, by his wife and cousin, Anne Dalzell, dau. and heir of Robert Thomson, Esq. of Dalzells St. Kitts, by his wife, Anne Dalzell, descended from the first Earl of Carnwath.
