Shown as late of Hyde Cottage, Shepherd's Bush on his death in or about April 1870; death registered Q2 1870 Kensington; buried Kensal Green All Souls 09/04/1870 of Askew Place aged 62; administration granted 19/05/1870 of the estate of Duncan Davidson Alves, bachelor of Hyde Cottage, Uxbridge Road who died 04/04/1870 to his sister Magdalen Alves of 28 The Cedars, Putney, spinster, effects under £450.
Son of William Alves and Sarah Chandler Davidson and therefore the brother of John Alves (q.v.).
Duncan Davidson Alves was a director of the Alfred Home and Foreign Life Assurance and Mutual Annuity Association in 1839.
