Catherine Hering, daughter of Julines Hering of Jamaica and Heybridge.
Born 21/08/1763, baptised 25/09/1763 at Westminster. Married John Gordon (q.v.), Collector of Customs at Bristol, 1787. Died 26/12/1840.
Catherine's sister Mary Helen Hering married Henry Middleton (1770-1846), one of the signers of the American Declaration of Independence.
Catherine's daughter, also called Catherine, married Sir William Miles, 1st Bart, son of Philip John Miles (q.v.).
