Biography

Resident planter in British Guiana.

  1. William Edward Pierce, almost certainly this man's son, matriculated Corpus Christi Cambridge Michaelmas 1859, became Rector of St Michael's Kingston, Jamaica 1869-1880, then left to do missionary work on the Potaro River in British Guiana, where he was drowned with his wife and 4 children after less than a year.
