Edinburgh accountant, awarded the compensation for enslaved people on Iter Boreale in St George and Heywood Hall in St Mary as one of the trustees for Robert Mackay & Co., and on Concordia in Tobago as executor of Elizabeth Wightman.

  1. James Renton identified his Writing-Chambers as being at 15 Queen Square in 1833 in a notice to creditors in a sequestration for which he was trustee.
