1796 - 1865
Awarded part of the compensation for the Lucky Valley estate in Clarendon Jamaica as trustee for the marriage settlement of his sister-in-law Mary Long and Charles Devon, and himself a beneficiary of funds secured on the estate under his own marriage settlement.
MP for St Mawes 1830-32. Will of George Grenville otherwise George Grenville Wandisford Pigott late of Doddershall Buckinghamshire who died 04/01/1865 at Upper Grosvenor Street proved 02/02/1865 by Charlotte Pigott of Doddershall Park and Richard Pigott Beamish of Cork, effects under £8000.
George Grenville Wandisford Pigott married Charlotte Long 26/10/1822 at Broadwater by Worthing Sussex. Charlotte Long was the daughter of Edward Beeston Long (q.v.) of Hampton Lodge Surrey, and died at Torquay 20/03/1823 aged 21. There is a memorial to Charlotte Pigott née Long in the church at Quainton Buckinghamshire. From the will of Edward Beeston Long (proved 24/11/1825) it appears that under the marriage settlement of George G. Wandisford Pigott with Charlotte Long, he had after his wife's death without children a life interest in sums of £5199 and £2000, the latter secured on the Lucky Valley estate.
