Biography

Awarded the compensation for the enslaved on Stone Castle in St Kitts as one of the executors of Sir Anthony Hart (q.v.).

  1. Probably but not certainly the John Gregson who was in partnership with Thomas George Fonnereau as Attorneys and Solicitors at Angel Court Throgmorton Street until the latter's retirement 25/03/1834.

  2. John Gregson was a defendant in Davies v Gregson concerning plantations at Palmetto Point, Capisterre and Basseterre in St Kitts belonging to John Hart Rawlins and his mother Sarah Johnson Rawlins widow, Sir Anthony Hart Lord Chancellor of Ireland being a mortgagee.  'Deposited 8 Aug. 1859 by defendant John Gregson.'
