Barrister in Britain and slave-owner on Barbados. He sold Staple Grove to his brother John Pollard Mayers in 1812, and the debt from John Pollard Mayers referred to in Henry Adams Mayers' will might reflect an unpaid portion of the purchase price.

  1. Will of Henry Adams Mayers barrister at law of Middle Temple [and Redland in Gloucestershire] proved 03/11/1836. In the will the first clause was to express his desire that the debt owed to him by his brother John Pollard Mayers on a sealed note be paid to his widow, to whom he left his whole estate, expressing the wish that she provide portions to her unmarried daughters Laura and Mary equal to their sisters.
