The Benjamin Alleyne of Tobago (q.v.) whose will was proved 24/05/1832 was the cousin of Benjamin Alleyne of Barbados, to whom he left £500 and to whose children he left a contingent interest in 1/4 of Sherwood Park. The claimant here could be the cousin, or could be a child of John George Alleyne (q.v.), the brother of Benjamin Alleyne of Tobago: under the latter's will, the children of John George Alleyne inherited 3/4 of the estate.
