Accountant, married to Mary Ann Elizabeth Reynolds, co-executor of his brother-in-law Charles Reynolds (q.v.) on whose behalf he was awarded part of the compensation for enslaved on Clermont estate, Trelawny, Jamaica.

Living at 4 1/2 Crescent Cottages, Hackney, Middlesex, in the 1861 census, age 74, "Pensioner, Common Cl[erk], with his wife Mary A. Longcroft, grandson James Longcroft and granddaughter Mary A. Longcroft. Died 18/01/1865. Buried at St John of Jerusalem, South Hackney, 24/01/1865. Will proved 31/03/1865 by his wife Mary Ann Elizabeth Longcroft of 4 1/2 Crescent Cottages, Cambridge Heath and his sons George Longcroft of 3 Crescent Cottages and Thomas Longcroft of Exmouth, Devon.
