  1. 1881 census shows Wilkinson Dent (no occupation given) aged 80 b. Westmorland living at 8 Fitzroy Square with nephew John Dent (aged 59 annuitant b. East Indies); 1871 at 8 Fitzroy Square shown as a landowner; 1861 8 Fitzroy Square aged 60 retired Chinese merchant., born Flass[?] Westmorland. Death registered Q2 1886 aged 85 Pancras.  

  2. National Probate Calendar: will with a codicil of Wilkinson Dent late of 8 Fitzroy Square and of Flass House in Westmoreland who died 10/05/1886 at 8 Fitzroy Square proved by John Dent et al., personal estate £183,386 9s 10d.  

  3. Wilkinson Dent, 'a lesser man of business than his elder brothers' and 'unsuccessful in Europe', is included in the collective biography of the Dent family in the ODNB.
