Partner in Crawley, Elgie and Churchyard, in which capacity he was reportedly awarded the compensation for 18 enslaved people in British Guiana with his surviving partner Thomas Churchyard. However, the will of William Crawley formerly of Spital Square but now of Charterhouse Square was proved 24/08/1830. The firm's path to ownership is not yet clear to LBS.
